Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Vero handles personal data relating to website visitors, prospects, customers and business contacts.

1. Who we are
Vero Intelligence Ltd (company number 17006972) is registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX.
For the processing described here, Vero is generally the controller of personal data. Contact privacy@getvero.co.uk or legal@getvero.co.uk.
2. Scope
This notice covers personal data handled when people visit our website, contact us, request a demonstration, enter a business relationship, use a Vero service, or appear in business information processed by our commercial-intelligence services.
Where Vero processes data solely on a customer's documented instructions, the customer may be the controller and Vero may act as processor.
3. Personal data we may collect
- Identity and professional contact data: name, role, employer, business email and business telephone number.
- Enquiry and relationship data: messages, demo requests, meeting notes, preferences and account history.
- Account and access data: organisation, role, permissions, authentication and security events.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, device or browser information, request logs, timestamps, diagnostics, feature use and service events.
- Billing and contract administration data: billing contacts, subscription details and transaction references. Where payments are used, full card data remains with the payment provider.
- Business-intelligence data: information from public or lawfully accessible sources, which may include professional names, roles, business contact details and information about organisations, procurements, estates and commercial events.
4. Sources of data
- Directly from you, including through email, meetings and use of our services.
- From your employer or organisation when it administers your access.
- From public and lawfully accessible business sources.
- Automatically through server, security and operational logs.
- From service providers acting for us where appropriate.
5. Purposes and lawful bases
Enquiries and demonstrations
Our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, and steps before entering a contract where applicable.
Providing and administering services
Performance of a contract, or our legitimate interests where the contract is with your employer.
Security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting
Our legitimate interests in protecting systems, users and the business, and legal obligations where applicable.
Billing, accounting and legal administration
Performance of a contract, legal obligations and our legitimate interests.
B2B sales and relationship management
Our legitimate interests, subject to applicable direct-marketing rules and your right to object.
Commercial intelligence and research
Our legitimate interests in providing and improving business intelligence, balanced against individuals' rights and interests.
Product improvement and analytics
Our legitimate interests, except where consent is required for cookies or similar technologies.
6. Public-source business information
Vero may process professional information from public or lawfully accessible sources, including official procurement publications, corporate or public-body websites, public registers, professional pages, news and other public business information.
Where Article 14 UK GDPR applies, required privacy information will be provided unless a lawful exemption applies. Vero does not intend to make solely automated decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
7. Sharing, processors and international transfers
We may use providers supporting hosting, infrastructure, communications, security, development, analytics, support, payments and professional advice. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a corporate transaction.
If a restricted international transfer occurs, Vero will use an applicable UK adequacy basis or an approved transfer safeguard.
8. Retention
Personal data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose, including legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution needs. Vero applies a retention schedule and may keep limited records for longer where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests in certain circumstances. You have an absolute right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing.
10. Complaints
Contact privacy@getvero.co.uk first if you have a concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
11. Cookies and changes
Our Cookie Policy explains the website's use of cookies and similar technologies. We do not use non-essential technologies before obtaining any consent required by law.
We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
